Jeans, jeans, jeans.

Recently, my favorite pair of jeans (Hudson, dark, skinny jeans) tore and it had only been two or three months since I bought them! I swear by Hudsons and haven’t had much trouble with them before, but what I realized as I rummaged through all the jeans at Nordstrom today is that almost all the jeans were/are made with very thin material.

So, in honor of my favorite jeans, I thought I’d write an entry including two tips I learned today on how to prolong the life of your favorite jeans.

ONE: Do not wash your jeans often. I know that sounds kind of gross, but I’m not saying if you slosh ketchup on them to not wash them. What I mean is, minimize the number of times you wash them… but if they obviously need washing, do it. Please.

TWO: If you want to wash your jeans to shrink them which is something I do (since a lot of wear stretches them out sometimes), DON’T DO IT. Instead of putting them through the washer, stick them in the dryer for about five minutes and that should do the trick and also prevent them from being destroyed more than they have to be.

I hope these two tips will give your jeans a long and healthy life. Until next time!
