A Fine Frenzy - The Beacon
…on repeat for this fine (freezing) Seattle evening. I spent most of my day running errands and just spending some quality time with myself. As much as I love seeing and spending time with people, being alone sometimes brings some of the best memories.
Today was Seattle Nordstrom’s Holiday Shopping Party, which I went to so that I could purchase some items for my upcoming trip and also to buy some things for my mom. It was my first time going and I didn’t know what to expect. I DEFINITELY did not expect to take 45 minutes to find parking (parking garage was full). I did not expect to be waiting in a huge line to get inside. I did not expect to be greeted at the door by waiters/waitresses holding up trays of champagne, sparkling water, and delicious bites of food (my favorite was their pork tenderloin bite, mmmm!). I also did not expect to be eating sushi nor did I expect to see models standing like mannequins on every floor! It was amazing!
Although I had fun walking around by myself, if I had known about all these special treats, I would have definitely brought someone along because it was very enjoyable. I was told that they were expecting around 2,500 people tonight - I believe it. I will do it again next year!
I love Nordies.
