Three Days with Philip Lim :: Vogue Korea, Dec 2009
I’m leaving for Korea next week and I’m ecstatic. Sure we have big cities here in the US of A but you really haven’t seen CITY until you’ve visited asian cities, Seoul being one of them. There is not an inch of Seoul that is not covered by sky-rises, cars, and people, mix-and-match fashion, the nightlife knows no end, and you can eat in a different restaurant everyday and end up with an even LONGER list of places to go after. Seoul is constantly changing and evolving - every year I go, I see new buildings and new shops; I can hardly recognize anything.
There is something about drowning yourself in a sea of people that really puts your life into perspective - how small you are, how small your life is. Sometimes, as Americans, I feel that we desperately need to feel that…
Since I’m leaving soon, I began to become curious as to what people are considering fashion there and found this magazine article with Philip Lim (LOVE HIS CLOTHES!). I will definitely post pictures of pedestrians once I get there. Can’t hardly wait!
